6th Grade Photography

What to do with the final few days of school? This is a perfect time to teach students some basic photography guidelines and let them go outside to shoot pictures.

Students were reminded about ways to improve their photos like the "rule of thirds", layering, eliminating clutter, looking for light and shadows, etc. Some of the required shots I had them take were: showing light and shadow, a portrait, a trick shot, patterns, repetition, and texture. An extra credit challenge was to take shots of the letters in your name.

  1. Photography always refreshes my soul! Each image, a window into the artists's world.
